What sort of cutting work does this clipper suit best?

This is a clipper you reach for when you need controlled fading, tapering, bulk removal, and clean blending. The low vibration and medium noise level make it comfortable enough for regular chair work without feeling rough in the hand.

How strong is the motor?

You are getting an N1 brushless motor running at 6,800 RPM, so it has enough drive for heavier clipper-over-comb work as well as fade work. A brushless motor also makes sense in a shop setting because it keeps the power delivery more consistent through longer sessions.

Can it be used corded and cordless?

Both options are covered, which is useful when the day gets away from you and the battery has not been topped up. Cordless gives you freedom around the chair, while corded mode keeps the tool usable when you need to keep cutting.

How long does the battery run for?

Runtime is up to 150 minutes from the lithium-ion battery. For most barbers, that is enough for multiple cuts before it needs to go back on charge, especially if you rotate tools through the day.

What blade does it come with?

The clipper uses an ultra-thin MIM fade blade, which is the right style of blade for tight fading and controlled blend work. It is also compatible with the FX8022 MIM fade blade, so you have a clear replacement option when the original blade wears out.

Can it be zero gapped?

Yes, it is zero-gap capable, so you can set it tighter for sharper fade lines and closer cutting. Take your time with alignment, because an aggressive zero gap needs to cut cleanly without catching skin.

What guard sizes come in the box?

You get six guard combs: 1.5 mm, 3 mm, 4.5 mm, 6 mm, 10 mm, and 13 mm. That range covers short fade work through to longer blending, so you are not relying on the lever alone to build shape.

What else is included?

Inside the box are the clipper unit, six guard combs, charging base, charging cable, cleaning brush, and blade oil. You have the basics needed to put it into service straight away and maintain it properly from day one.

How should I maintain it?

Brush hair out of the blade after use and oil it regularly, especially if it is doing a lot of fade work. Blade alignment also needs checking from time to time if you run it zero gapped.

Does it use taper brackets?

Taper brackets are not applicable to this clipper because it uses a 5-position locking taper lever for blade adjustment. The lever gives you controlled movement through the cutting range without relying on separate taper bracket hardware.

Does cord length matter with this tool?

Cord length is not applicable as a core spec here because the clipper is primarily used cordless, while still having corded operation available. In daily use, the battery runtime and charging setup matter more than the cord measurement.

What warranty does it have?

It comes with a 2-year warranty in Australia. That matters on a metal-housing clipper with a brushless motor because servicing, parts access, and local support are part of the long-term value.

BarberCo ships to all areas of New Zealand via DHL Express. Freight costs are calculated at checkout based on the items in your order.

Due to the high cost of international freight, furniture items are generally not cost-effective to ship to NZ — however, sea freight options may be available on request. How does shipping work?

We ship Australia wide and to New Zealand.

We offer various delivery options in Australia for standard items which you can select when you checkout to complete your order. For bulky items such as furniture a fixed freight charge may apply. For bulky items the product will display any fixed price shipping charge and this will be added automatically to your order if applicable.

For orders over $350 there is a free freight option which can be selected when checking out. You can also choose express options for faster delivery. Note all prices include GST.

** We offer same day dispatch for orders received before 1:00pm on a normal business day only when Express Priority freight option is selected.** If Regular Delivery option is selected your order normally will be dispatched within 24-48 hours after placing your order.

We endeavor to carry all standard advertised items in stock, however if there are stock shortfalls preventing immediate dispatch of your order, we will contact you if there will be any extended delays to advise and offer options.

Australia

Our default couriers are TNT Express/Fedex and Australia Post. Once your order is consigned you should receive tracking details via email throughout the journey of your order to its destination. If you do not receive any notifications within a reasonable time of placing your order please email us at info@barberco.com.au quoting your order number to request a personal update.

2. Express Priority. For orders under $250.00 the following charges will apply:

New Zealand

We ship to all areas in New Zealand. Freight is calculated at checkout and will depend on items purchased.

DHL Express is our chosen freight company. Typically freight times are between 2 – 7 business days depending on your location.

Note we cannot ship dangerous goods such as aerosols and some liquids to New Zealand. It is not cost effective to freight furniture to New Zealand, however we can provide sea freight options on application.

How soon will my order dispatch?

If you order and pay for your order before 1 pm (EST) on a business day and select Express Priority we will dispatch on the same business day, if we are unable to dispatch we will try and let you know ASAP by email. If you require your order by a certain day it is very helpful to us if you put this as a customer note when checking out.

Will I receive notification of my order and receive updates on delivery status?

Once your order is compete you will receive an instant confirmation of your order via email. Please check carefully and advise us of any issues.

You will receive notification once your order is packed and ready for dispatch. From there you should receive several notifications along the journey of your order with the final one being that the order has been delivered. Please advise us immediately if any issues or concerns or you haven’t received any notifications at all since you placed your order. Please also check spam or junk mail if no communications have been received.

Do I get a discount for ordering in bulk?

Yes! Many of our popular items have bulk discount. When you open up the page if the product has bulk pricing available it will show this and you can click on this to see what deals are available

How can I pay for my order?

You can pay via Visa or Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, AfterPay or direct deposit. If you select direct deposit you will be emailed an invoice with our bank details on the bottom. If you would like to pay by cash (if picking your parcel up) please select direct deposit as your payment method when checking out.

What is the minimum order quantity?

We don’t have one! If you only want to get a few items just to try us out then you can do that, no problem at all.
